Aaron and "Eli"
Hi,
About 9 years ago I contacted DDB Rescue, and around 6 months after that I was contacted about a Dogue named Eli that was located in a pound NSW (mid 2013). According to the pound he was not far off from being put down. This lead my partner at the time to race out there as quickly as possible to pick him up. That was the day that Eli became a member of our family, and despite some bumps along the way with living arrangements after the end of a decade long relationship, he remained in the family up until this week where he sadly passed away at between 9 and half and 10 years old (Little hazy due to the pound records). He was adored by all that came in to contact with him, treasured beyond measure by my two daughters as he had been a part of the majority of their lives, and unconditionally loved by myself. He had spent the last two years living his best life in Brisbane with me, enjoying beach side walks, drawing attention and pats walking along the riverside of South Bank and getting the odd sausage sandwich or 5 from Bunnings on our trips there.
But for all of this I, I just wanted to thank DDB Rescue. Without your service, we never would have had the opportunity to adopt Eli and have him be the valued and loved member of our family that he became. For that I’m never going to be able to express how appreciative I am. He may have gotten a second chance that day we got him from the pound. But I still feel that it’s my kid’s and I that got the better end of the deal by just him being part of our lives.
Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to let you know how grateful I am. I’m also including a photo of Eli’s last trip to the beach, the same as always, riding up front without a care in the world.
Thanks again,
Aaron.

Renate and "Rhino"
Thanks to the Dogue De Bordeaux website that I stumbled across back in Jan 2014, we found you - Rhino - who we instantly fell in love with. Although you were 8 years old, you were a sweet, gentle man and fitted into our family perfectly. Our German Shepherd Sasha loved you instantly and although she may have been annoying at times, she loved trying to bring out the playful side in you.
The changes we saw in you during the two years you were with us were not unnoticed. You went from a shy man who didn't like much attention to quickly loving as much attention you could get, being mischievous at times.
Sadly you passed away in Dec 2015 and although we wish we had much more time together, we cherish the moments we had.
Thank you to Jo and the wonderful people that organise the rehoming of dogues like Rhino - without your hard work and dedication, we wouldn't of had the opportunity to open our home to such a gorgeous boy and he wouldn't of had a second chance.

Narelle and "Bojo" (and Ruby, Narelle's existing dog)
If it wasn't for this site I would have never have found my beautiful boy Bojo. Jo was very helpful through the whole process. He has blended into the family so well

Helen and "Riley"
"Riley" is on the right
Just wanted to let you know how delighted we are that Riley found her forever home with us. She is such a beautiful girl and gets on so well with our two boy dogs. We feel like we have had her forever. That's her on the right, happy with her two new friends. Thanks to your wonderful association, we have a gorgeous addition to our family.
Amanda and "Rory"
Hi Jo, I just wanted to say thank you again. I don't know how to explain it but Rory is my soul mate that's the only way I think I can describe her in my life. If it was not for all the work you and Leanne do she would not be in my life and I could not imagine a world with her not in it.
Pete and "Jenais", "Morph" and "Daisy"
Hi all, thanks to Jo and Leanne i have 3 wonderful rescues. Jenais was my first in very bad condition when i got her, its about 3 years on and she is a very happy little girl she still has on going issues but she happy. Morph and Daisy were my next 2 very under weight when i got them and not very social, with not much work at all they both fitted into the family very well. Rescues are beautiful I reckon they know your helping them by the love they show you in return just the best. If you are thinking of adopting a rescue "do it" they will love you for it.

Giselle and "Tex"
We adopted Tex an 8 year old Dogue De Bordeaux from Bordeaux Rescue last year. Tex was a beautiful old soul who touched all our lives. Tex was only with us 3 months before he grew his wings, the love and bond we had would last a lifetime. Thank you to Jo and Leanne for your love and support and for all you do for this amazing Breed xoxox
